This unique tapering column of drawers rises from the ground to a height of 125 cms; its wider base giving the feeling of being securely grounded. This form echos that of trees, which when squared probably provided the earliest obelisks. This column of drawers tapers as it rises from the floor to a sculpted mountain-scape on the top. The surfaces are sculpted in response to the grain and accentuates the sensuous texture of the English yew; with the high spots in the undulations creating vertical crevices, creating handles for opening cedar lines drawers.
Materials: English yew and Lebanon cedar linings
